So lets get on with this Blaster review. What's that you say? You want me to review the minions first? Okay!

Its Eject!


He's a little dude about 1/10th the size of Blaster. He almost looks like a mini Soundwave. What is Soundwave doing inside Blaster?


I'm not really sure what his arms are about. They have nubs, and more nubs, that I am not sure what for. He can hold two shiny weapon like things.


My Eject head keeps wanting to pop out in cassette form. I think his arms have something to do with how his head spring attaches inside. I have yet to master it. His legs will also come off if you pull too hard during Transformation, but no harm no foul.


So I trap him in his cassette tape to stop the popping.


Ha-hah, okay okay. I will stop with the minions and go to Blaster next time on the most thorough Autobot Blaster review on the internet ever.

Enough with the stalling! Lets open up Blaster...


Technically though, this could be the fourth box? Its made of light plastic, and has a plastic cover to keep pieces in. Again, this is great for re-storing toy.


Looks like some fine paper twine instead of the usual metal wire with rubber. Maybe these are cheaper, easier to tie, less damaging to toy? Perhaps I should do some strength tests?


Here is the underside of the clear 4th box, you can see they stored the tape cases behind Blaster.


Might as well start a fresh post later when I continue the most thorough Autobot Blaster review on the internet.

2010 SDCC Hasbro's Autobot Blaster Review Day 3

Well apparently yesterday's box, was just a sleeve for the real box that holds Autobot Blaster!


Now we are talking! This box is huge, and with the giant Blaster illustrated on the front, you know you're getting something special. Thats right, a Tape Deck and its 1985 all over again.


I am a big fan of this style box, as you can open the toy, play with it, and return it to the box for storage or display, without destroying the box. I wish more Transformers were sold this way. Some of the new fangled boxes they are in are impossible to even attempt to save. And how about that front flap, eh eh eh?! Way cool, its like looking into an old school Lego box. Gee I wonder which toy in there I should play with first? No-no-no, not play, but look over and review every detail of the instruction booklet for proper toy functioning! I know, I know.


Once I open it up, if there isn't another box that I am not seeing, I will review the toy finally, in the most thorough Autobot Blaster review on the internet ever.

2010 SDCC Autobot Blaster Review Day 2

So... Apparently the box I showed yesterday, was not really part of the packaging. It was more of a shipping thing. So today, we look at Autobot Blaster's box!


Pretty flashy huh. Metallicy, red, shiny, and rectangular. Something is in there, but what. Uh, dude, Blaster? Oh yeah. Blaster. Not much really on the design side. No cool illustrations, or spiffy photos, just Transformers and Autobot Blaster and a chocking hazard warning.

2010 SDCC Autobot Blaster Review Day 1

Autobot Blaster is here! Lets review! The 12" x 16" x 16" outer box is light weight at about 4 pounds, with the use of single corrugated cardboard, and 2" matte packing tape. The box art is a bit plain with a small sticker indicating some shipping info, box 1 of 1, and other small unrelated Transformers facts. Not sure why Hasbro went with such a boring box, maybe I should open it?After opening the top with a scissors a five foot section of packing paper is crumpled up, holding the toy to one side. More info to follow, as this is the most thorough Autobot Blaster review on the internet ever.

Cobra Serpent / S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor

Along with the A-Team van being on clearance so was this! Awesome deal too, I had been trying to find one of these for the past year, and always came up empty handed. The Serpent battle armor is so classic it stretches one's inner rubber bands.


Looks like a repaint of the white 1983 version, which terrorized GI Joes in a snow cave. The black looks way more menacing though, and less prone to pinkafying in the sun.


Loading the driver is kind of tricky. Almost reminiscent of fixing a GI Joe with a broken rubber band. You're holding on to the back plate, the two arms and the rest of the figure to snap everything into place. Funny thing is, once its all together, it looks the same with or with out the inner driver. I prefer without, as then I have another Cobra trooper.


Can you imagine the embarrassment being caught with your Serpent armor down?


The version matches the Cobra B.A.T.s really well. Maybe I should ebay a few more, they arn't too expensive yet.
