Snake Eyes 25th anniversary figure.

Rummors are true, GI Joe 25th anniversary figure are at K-mart. Note the word 'figure'. I found Snake Eyes on top of a pile of other toys, but could not find any other new Joes. I really wanted a Flint figure, thus begining another legendary hunt for a Flint figure. These new 25th figures feel like a cross between a Star Wars figure and a GI Joe figure. Plastic feels softer than the regualr Joe, I wonder if he can still take a fall off the stairs in some sort of Construx vehicle? That will be for another day.

As for Sigma Six Snake Eyes with Timber, I can't decide whether to open or not. I already have a Snake Eyes Sigma Six figure open, so I would be opening this just to play with the fully posible Timber figure...

All hail mighty Transformers poster!

I really like this poster. Actually I really like the placement of this poster. It's right over my computer desk. I feel like I'm bowing down to Optimus Prime or else, and at the same time looking for spare change for Megatron. I'm a little weary of BumbleBee's gun placement though.

While on the topic of My Little Pony..er Transformers, I wanted to share what I thought of the big movie last week. There may be spoilers here, but by now, I think everyone has seen it. For the most part I really enjoyed the show. Of course there were plenty of little things that could be brought up. The action scenes were too fast and complicated to make anything out sometimes. There was not enough, or any, character to the Transformers that would make you really like/hate them. I would have rather had the Decepticons come to Earth to steal the abundant diverse resources for Cybertron, rather than the All Spark Cube. Why was Jazz's dancy character set up for kids, when he is the only Autobot that gets horribly killed? Bonecrusher didn't last very long for all the hype in the commercials. Starscream needed more airtime as well. But he did fail Megatron again so that was taken care of. Where was Optimus Primes trailer. I think it would have been a nice addition, if it came out of nowhere and attached to Prime for the entrie move. Teletran one could have rode inside.

The battle in the end was crazy, but didn't have enough of an emotional punch. Heck, in Star Trek VI the Undiscovered Country came out, I remember geeks clapping and chearing when the Bird of Prey was blown up. That didn't happen for Megs. The final fight between Optimus And Megatron was so fast, it was over before I was ready for it. I think part of that to blame was Primes weakness. What makes Optimus Prime so cool is his Superman like character. You knew he was the winner, by his size, power and character. Why not have him slightly bigger than Megatron, it balances out the good vs evil thing. Megatron has an really evil plan, but Optimus is bigger and will figure it out and win. I would have been way happier with Prime giving Megatron about five good Death Blows before shoving the cube in the Matrix then shooting out a mega Matrix beam out his chest and blowing Megs to bits.

The opening Scorpinok battle was awesome, especially with the military gun ship pelting him. That was spiffy. The Camero and VW Bug at the used car lot scene was nicely done. The stepping on the bird bath was comical, sort or dorky for Prime though. The Plate of doughnuts was funny. I would like to see more of the battle between Bumblebee and Baracade. The Ebay stuff was funny. Why wasn't it Sam 'Spike' Witwicky?

Fun movie, I plan to see it again this week. I hope the Transformers take major speaking rolls in the next movie. I give it three out of Four My Little Ponies!

A test from The Atom, and a Holiday Hawk.

The Atom challenges you to decide which of him is the larger figure. Be careful, there could be trickery at foot.

I must be drinking lots of Sierra Mist lately, I don't want to jinx things, but this Holiday Red Tailed Hawk (I think), was pearched on my fence line not 15 feet away from my front door this morning. Pretty unreal, I had two options. Throw Bart at it to see what happens, or take a crappy picture of the menacing bird-of-prey. Had I just had one more second, and a little more battery power I could have got a terrific shot. Oh well, Mmmm Sierra Mist.

Dreadnok Squable

My box of cheap GI Joes came in Saturday. It looked like the box went through war itself. Luckily nothing was damaged...

All the packages were squeeky clean inside the box. However after the Dreadnoks escaped, poor Ripper didn't go so far. I'm thinking it was Buzzer, he comes with a chainsaw. Although Thrasher did have a large knife in hand in the box. Poor Ripper, he got what his name implied. I guess this gives me the excuse of buying some replacement rubber bands on ebay. Nothing more fun than doing rubberband surgery on GI Joes. Maybe Lifeline will help this time.

Oh and Bart built a pretty cool fort in the couch yesterday as well.

Not Strange...

So, bummed about not finding stuff in stores, I went online. Wowy CaPOWy, Hasbro.com has a huge 75% off GI Joe sale. Bought some of thos Joes three packs with the comic books, ANOTHER Hiss tank that I bought last year (I need an army of them for that price) And Sigma Six Snake Eyes with Timber. I remember how back in the day, the GI Joe with an animal always sealed the purchase. Now I'm trying to hold back on that giant transport R.O.C.C.-Way good deal, but where the hell would I put that? HOWEVER when the 25th anniversary Joes come out, they will need a base. Oh darn.

Strange.

I just passed up buying a bunch of toys at the store. New Transformers arn't looking that neat for the $. The Real gear is okay, but overpriced. Almost went for some Star Wars Transformers, but those are overpriced as well. I hope series 2 marvel Attacktix comes out soon.

Optimus Prime on USA Today...

I ran into this by accident on the job site. Took it home to read, but the Optimus's wouldn't let me get near it.

Here's a pic without the subpar comments.
