I actually have two of these - I bought the (full price) one at Walmart (which is the purple-ish/brown-ish one) then snared a one at Ross for $12, which is the black one. I don't normally do repeats but the black colouring was too good to pass up.
I didn't know the black one truly existed in the wild, i thought it was only rumored. How did you know it was a black one?
They started showing up in Ross Dress for Less a couple of months ago.The trick to it is to check the stamped number on the box base. I posted an image and some extra info when I Reviewed it here:http://that-figures.blogspot.com/2011/03/review-gi-joe-cobra-hiss-tank-with-hiss_12.html
Thanks lok, I will have to look for that one too. I am so impressed with this toy! I am glad I found one for a good deal too. I think owning two is well worth the small army.
If you find it in a Ross store, you're pretty much guaranteed the HISS Tank will be black. While you're there, grab a VAMP, too - it's a phenomenally good vehicle.http://that-figures.blogspot.com/2011/04/review-gi-joe-pursuit-of-cobra-vamp.html
I miss my old original HISS Tank i had as kid it was so simple yet so cool.
It can't really have success, I consider like this.
