The ReAction Figure Movie! Vintage Darth Vader's quest for a new team of Bounty Hunters.

Playing with ReAction figures from Funko is probably the funnest thing I have done all month! Lots of classic 80's characters to choose from.

Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare Chomper and Engineer Zombie from Diamond Select Toys

I am not the biggest fan of fancy figures from Diamond Select, as they don't do too much, but I am liking these Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare figures. Highly sculpted and detailed to look their best. Chomper is one of my favorite plants because of his silliness. You can fill some parts and pieces into his large head. It would have been nice to see some chomping action too. The Engineer Zombie is okay, I am not the biggest fan of portly Zombies. He is still fun, and they make a good two pack. Play on...

Transformers Hero Mashers Soundwave and Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader

More strange review combos with Transformers Hero Mashers Soundwave and Star Wars The Black Series Darth Vader. Both are pretty cool toys, just really different.

Despicable Me Mega Bloks Minion Mobile

Mega Bloks running away with the Despicable Me universe. After seeing how they enhanced SpongeBob Squarepants, this will be awesome fun with the Minions!

Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord T-Rex, Stego and Tricera Zords!

The Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord is already pushing the Power Rangers Super MegaForce off the shelves. It always amazes me how fast the turnover rate for new seasons of Power Rangers happens. Dino Charge is the 22nd season for Power Rangers in the USA. Its great to see the Zords going back to their roots again (and again) with Dinosaurs, as that is how it always should be!

This Megazord is only a three team Zord builder though.  There will be more sets to use the Zord Builder interchangeable toys, but it would still be nice to build up to five, we will see.

The gimmick this time are Chargers, that activate a small action feature, like a flip up sword or drill. Nothing to exciting, but will open the wallet to collecting more things.

The Pink Tricera Zord is really bright Pink! The mouth on Tricera and Stego open really wide for the Charger (and to bite clamp onto Megazord). Looks fun and cool.

Start seeing these toys appear late on shelves 2014 and onward! Go go Power Rangers!

Penguins of Madagascar McDonalds Happy Meal Toys! Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and More! Opening and Review

November 2014 brings in a new Dreamworks Madagascar movie, this time staring the Penguins front and center. Of course, there is a McDonalds Happy Meal tie in. Six toys to collect for the USA, mostly gimmicky, but still lots of fun. Look for them now, and for the next few weeks.

Jellyfishin' Spongebob Action Figure vs TMNT Half Shell Hero Leo

Not that these two toys have much in common other than Nickelodeon, they seemed somewhat similar in size and play. Jellyfishin' Spongebob, catches/throws a Jellyfish, with lots of silly stuff to say. Leo does the swords thing, and has more silly stuff to say. Two fun toys, one weird review.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Belch and Barf Power Dragon with the Rolling Flame Attack

Looking to roll a dragon around, look no further than Rolling Flame Attack Belch & Barf.  Kind of a fun distraction, but if you are looking for a more accurate B&B look for the more normal version.

Max Tow Truck can pull up to 200lbs and still snark comments

The Max Tow Truck is one of those Christmas 2014 toy draws that plays pretty well. The truck boasts the ability to push and tow up to 200lbs, and from my tests, looks like it can pretty well. The Truck has 50 phrases, and loves popping jokes.

The truck has nice wide, squishy, grippy tires, that enable it to easily drive over grass and many obstacles. Sounds like a beast too.

Find them pretty much at all the main stores.

Big Hero 6 Armor-Up Baymax Toy Opening

This is one super cool solid inflatable robot with armor toy. Good value too, at about twenty bucks. The Baymax in the center is a nice figure, plus 20 pieces of armor make up for hours of fun play. Highly recommend this dude!

Star Wars Rebels Kanan Jarrus Big 19" Action Figure Toy

Got a chance to play with a large scale JAKKS Pacific action figure Kanan Jarrus from the new Star Wars show Rebels. The toy is simple, but has good likeliness. I have only been able to catch the first mini movie episode, and thought it was pretty decent. Looking forward to finding the even larger Storm Trooper toy!

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Skullcrusher Power Dragon Toy from Spin Master

Finally after the movie has come and gone, Skullcrusher a most popular dragon is out and about on store shelves. I actually have not seen one at stores yet, referring to Amazon for this one. Totally worth the wait, Skullcrusher is a mighty fun toy. His color is a tad too green, but other than that makes for a fun playable dragon toy. Now we need a Stoik the Vast to ride on tops.

Ionix Pokemon Bulbasaur Ivysaur to Mega Venusaur Construction Set

Ionix makes some interesting construction sets with their "Shapeshifting Brick" nonsense, and with Pokemon in the mix, evolution is game.  Overall Venusaur looks great, good size, good color, great face. There is some slight trouble in the bricks from popping off now and again, but that is usually open game if it isn't Lego. Fun toy, and I am open to looking for another.

Lego Mixels Series 3 Purple Wiztastics Max Mesmo Magnifo & Wizwuz Opening

The final set of Lego Mixels Series 3, the Wiztastics, if you like wizards.  Magnifo looks like the gem of the collection with his purple rods. The Max is so-so compared to others. They remind me of Electro the purple Throwbot.

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Daniel's Bathtub Voyage Boat Toy

We pretty much have Daniel Tiger on a constant Netflix loop at my place. What ever they put in that cartoon, the kids love it. A new Bathtub Voyage boat set is out, and performs pretty well. Just watch out for the Thunderdrums.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Astrid and Racing Hiccup Action Figures Review

Finally an Astrid figure appears on shelves. There are many Dragons made from Spin Master, but not enough good figures to ride them. She sits okay on Stormfly with a little work. Looks good, hope for Fishlegs in 2017.

Thursday, October 02, 2014

Defenders of Berk Lunge Attack Toothless and Purple Thunderdrum

The Fall of 2014 brings some new waves of Dragons. A standing or lunging Toothless was a surprise as was this Purple Thunderdrum. Many more Dragons out soon!

Minecraft Mini-Figure Blind Mystery Box, Grass Series 1, and some Opening Codes A-L

More Minecraft candy, well toys that are about the size of candy at 1". These mini-figures are addicting like the rest of the toys, but maybe too high in price around $3.99 a box (Luckily I found a sale at %25 off). There is also a code thankfully, on the bottom above the barcode, and these were the results that I got...

I like the Enderman, Snow Golem, and the Skeleton quite a bit, with special props to dyed sheep!

Keep an eye out for the boxes in areas where Minecraft toys are sold.

HexBug McDonald's Happy Meal 2014 Collection, Spiders Crabs and Scarabs

HexBugs are at it again at McDonalds this month of September and next. 8 bugs to collect. The Spiders are creepy as always, and the Crab is pretty fun too. The Larva can get honorable mention.

How to Train Your Dragon Mega Toothless Alpha Dragon and a Kids Cuisine

Talk about a big hunk of plastic this dragon is. Looks pretty good for maybe a guard statue or something.

Lego Mixels Series 3 Green Bags Glorp Corp, Glomp Glurt and Torts

The best part of Lego Mixel packs is you know what character is inside what. The Glorp Corp, probably the best name ever, looks nice and slimy. Glomp is tall, Glurt is crocodogy, and Torts is ducky. Fun set!

Mini Pocket Switchers Transforming Balls, Alien Zombie Viking Ninja...

Good news for collectors looking for another addition to their Pirate piles, Mini Pocket Switchers are bouncing around and are actually kind of fun! Series 1 has four 2-Packs to collect. They work pretty well, designed as a figure/bouncy ball. DON'T pull em out to fast or the rubber bands will pop, but even then they still work. Find them in the discount toy aisles for about $2.97 a pack.

Minecraft Series 2 Toys from Jazwares a Horse of Course and a Iron Golem

If I had more time in life I would play Minecraft, so the toys will have to do. Series 2 features some fun with Steve and a Horse, Iron Golem, Diamond Armor Steve, a Blacksmith, and other other character I have yet to see in stores.

I really like the simplicity/style of these toys, they are unlike any other. Well maybe Lego blown up in size a bit. Look for them in stores now.

Wednesday, September 03, 2014

Plants vs. Zombies Peashooter Popper from Jazwares

This toy is just simple fun. A Peashooter from Plants vs. Zombies that shoots small green foam balls, similar to what it does in the games. Works pretty well, and has a cool sound. Found it at Toys R Us for $7.99 which was a good deal considering everything else these days.

McDonalds Happy Meal Madden 15 NFL Figures Mystery Bags and Codes to Identify!

Happy Meal and the NFL are at it again this year with Madden 15 figures. All 32 teams are represented by a 2" little mini figure. You can place your own sticker numbers on their jerseys, or just leave them blank. They are also app upload able, but I am only into the toys today.

There are codes for the blind bags, basically grouped in four waves, the first initial of the teams mascot, and then 15. Here are the numbers I got...

Each wave features a common position stance for the group. First up are the Broncos, Colts, Bears, Packers, Redskins, Raiders, and Dallas. there is no articulation, but they look pretty good considering they are free with food or a couple bucks.

The second group are the Bucs, Dolphins, 49ers, Hawks, Ravens, Panthers, Steelers, and Bills.

The Third box is the Lions, Pats, Saints, Chiefs, Vikings, Falcons, Chargers, and Jets.

And the fourth box the Jags, Bengals, Cardinals, Texans, Giants, Browns, Eagles, and Rams

Look for these August 30th through September 2014!

Toys R Us Exclusive Lord Zedd Might Morphin Power Rangers

Another run of classic Power Rangers are out, this time 5" Toys R Us exclusives. They look really nice, with packaging like the originals. I am still happy with my 4" line from a few years back, so I am not sure how far I will go with these. Lord Zedd was a must, as I do not have a Zedd, and it doesn't matter if he is larger. At $20 bucks a figure though, I might just stop there (maybe a White Ranger will temp me).

Plants vs. Zombies K'nex Football Mech Building Set

The Football Mech set features a motorized football mech with future zombie inside, moving forward and backward similar to the video game. This set worked much better than the cone (all pieces included) and I enjoyed it much. Go play!

Friday, August 22, 2014

Plants vs. Zombies K'nex Cone Mech Building Set

The Cone Mech Building set is 114 pieces of fun. Too bad mine was missing 4 pieces that help the drive rods from slipping out! I found a quick fix for now, until I can get some replacements.

the Set looks cool, and walks pretty interesting. A few flaws like the Zombie not sitting inside at all. The horrible brick pieces he sits on, barely work with craptastic studs.

Fun if you are a PvZ fan.

HexBug Aquabots 2.0 Smart Fish Technology

I think HexBug Aquabots 1.0 set off a fish frenzy in toy fishes, and now the new models are out. The 2.0 fish feature light up glow, and tap on tank wake up ness. The new bonus bowl works a little better too as its rounded, but it could be slightly deeper though. A couple coral features also tech up the tank. Totally get one of these for your desk, they are lots of fun!

Dragons Nabi Morpho Pods, the Head Wing and Tail Mystery Packs

This toy might be taking the blind mystery pack too far. To build a dragon, you must buy a Head, Wing, and Tail pack to complete it.  So what happens when Grandma just buys you tails?  In some strange twist, I was able to get all Toothless parts, even though I was kind of hopping for some mix and match.

The whole Pod thing also does not make much sense. I don't remember them Podding themselves in the movies. I might accept dragon eggs or something. Also they cheat with the Wing and Tail pods needing to have the Wings and Tail piece added to them after the Pod transformation.

The final product is a long snake like Dragon with way too many joints and springs, however I do kind of like it somehow. It is so odd that it just might make it on my desk for awhile.  The Pods also activate your Nabi Dream Tablet if you have one (yeah, thats got to be a huge demographic), and you can do somethings with School of Dragons App.

So thats what this toy is all about, make sure you get all three color bags to build one dragon.

Star Wars Command Army Men Style! Death Star Strike Set, Roll Crash Destroy!

So Star Wars is back at it again with another new old kind of collection. Army Men figures! The sets contain lots of different plastic figures from all over the Star Wars Saga. Vehicles are also involved in the sets, some on plastic stands, other on roller stands that you can use to attack (watch out, they will number the display stand as a vehicle on box). The figures have good size to them about 2" tall, some are a little more fancy with one or two paint apps.

I like the Storm Troopers the best in the series, and I might need to find a better opponent then the Rebel Pilots for them to shoot at (SO BRIGHTLY ORANGE). I can't see myself go too nuts on the series though, as I already have nicely full sufficient collections of figures, and Attacktix too.

Halo Mega Bloks Alpha Series 10 Mystery Blind Packs with Codes

Halo Mega Bloks Series Alpha is out, or is that Series 10. This, surprisingly, is my first go at the Halo Mega Bloks. For some reason I keep missing them. 8 To collect, with a newer more Super Poseable micro figure.

Codes to Identify each Halo Character in the Alpha Series Packs...

I noticed the Covenant Brute Stalker has two different Codes, so you might find some others as well.

For my first dive, I like the Spartan Figures the best. I am sure I will find lots of trouble for them to get into. Its neat that the armor for each one is slightly different. That could have easily been just color changes.

Lego Legends of Chima Doggie Bot or Wolf Legend Beast with Worris.

I don't know why I want to keep calling this guy Doggie Bot. These five Lego Legend Beast toys were loads of fun to build. Can we get a second series, maybe a Whale in the next line?

McDonald's Happy Meal Hot Wheels 2014 Air Racers Complete 8 Collection Review!

Hot Wheels are again back at McDonalds, this time still plastic, but also containing a small air pressure launch squeezer. They work so-so. I like to fist pound them, but instructions say use both hands pressing. Mixed results for me, but cool cars.

A large assortment of 8, with good colors and styles!

Most larger than a regular sized Hot Wheels, but many classic styles provided.

There are stickers to dress up the cars, but last time I didn't really care for them, so for the most part I am leaving them off.

They are on sale, USA McDonalds August 1st through 28th.

Dragons Defenders of Berk Fireworm Queen Dragon Toy

Here's a dragon thats a little harder to find. The Fireworm Queen is that dragon that does the fire thing, and the queen thing. She has light-up effects and some tongue lashing too. I couldn't find it around my land and had to order on Ebay, which was annoying because the one I got smelled of smoke and stinky perfume. If you are going to scalp people, please do so cleanly!!!

Spongebob Squarepants Mega Bloks Mystery Blind Packs Series 1 and Codes

It looks like Mega Bloks has taken over the Spongebob Squarepants world from Lego with a solid start, offering many sets, and of course the all important Mystery Blind Packs!

There are eight figures to collect; Karatay Spongebob, Strangler Fish, Cowboy Patrick, Jail Fish,
Caveman Squidward, Nerd Spongebob, Surfer Fish, and A Mystery Mystery figure seen below if you can find him. Codes that I found provided...

Mega Blok mini figures are evolving to almost miniature action figures. Yes they still build like a block figure, but they sure look like an action figure. They are a little larger than lego minifigures, and grab a little more character likeliness. Spongebob feels very 3D.

From the first 8, It looks like a nice assortment, that could set the stage for many Series of new Packs.   Lego never produced to many Spongebob sets, so maybe we will see a larger world from Mega Bloks.

Cowboy Patrick is dripping with out of the water attitude.

The Strangler in the first Series is awesome!!!

Hey, Its a Brick Wave!

So totally keep an eye out for these awesome sets, you Spongebob fan maniacs!

G.I. Joe Kre-O Collection 3 Review with Codes

I finally found some time to look at these super cool Kre-O GI Joes Collection 3 packs, that I found in full a few months back. It was pretty killer, as all 12 packs, and only those 12, were on the shelf for the taking. Given how hard it is to find these in my area, I snagged them all!

Now its pretty much established that Kreon figures suck pretty bad in the function category. They fall apart, hard to stand, hands suck, heads sometimes look funny, blah blah... I am just glad that G.I. Joe a pretty obscure license these days, gets such a generous treatment, making it to a full collection 3.

Not only do we get classic characters, but some really obscure characters like Atomic Man. Each figure also usually has some pretty specific weapons, and usually more pieces than a Lego Minifigure would have. Both the Cobra Jet Trooper and Scrap-Iron come with many good build pieces.

I also like these blocks, as the size is so small, I can build a huge GI Joe collection with little storage space. Of course that giant looking Terrordrome might change all that.

So in short, I will take as many of these as I can get and play hard!

Oh, the codes if you are looking for just one...

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Power Dragon Toothless with Power Glow and more Power and stuff.

Another Toothless? Jeez he might make a run at the number of Batman that I have collected over the years. This one is a pretty good one though, overall balanced figure with good solid light-up feature. Good wing articulation too. Hit this one up, if you haven't picked any of em up yet.

Team Hot Wheels The Origin of Awesome Rev Rod

I knew it was only time before I would run into a Rev Rod! A pretty neat car too, black, shiny, and Batmobilee-esque. Fun car to look for and collect!

Lego Legends of Chima Eagle Legend Beast with Eris and Lightning!

Wow! What a great bird toy, with fantastic wingspan for a mini Lego toy. Best one so far!!!

also check out this wicked local lightning storm we had from IDStormTroopers!...

imaginext Mystery figures Series 3 review and a few codes

I did not think I would be lucky enough to find these on the toy shelves after the elusiveness of Series 2.  Even Series 1 is still plentiful on shelves. Series 3 is around if you look, 8 figures to collect, including a great crossover on Breaking Bad's Walter White (the one I couldn't find of course). Some good monsters in this wave, with a couple punks too. Thanks Eric at Toyriffic for the photo help in review. Now back to searching for figure 40.

The Smurfs Micro Village Poet Smurf Starter Set

The Micro Villages have pretty much run their course, but i still had a Poet Smurf set to share. This is another one of those new hats to Malibu Stacey deals, where the highlight of the set is a tiny row boat, and some additional river pieces for my large Smurf Village collection.  Poet looks pretty funny, with his mouth agape and quill and paper.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Power Dragon Meatlug with Gronckle Spike Blast

Dragons 2 Meatlug is a solid looking figure, but the action feature needs more testing. Its pretty tricky to get all four spikes to blast at the same time. With that said, she looks really close to Meatlug this time (vs. forest green Berk version). Hopefully an updated Fishlegs will appear to ride her.

Thursday, July 03, 2014

Lego Mixels Series 2 Brown Fang Gang Jawg, Chomly and Gobba

So then there is these guys, the Fang Gang Mixels.  Don't look too close or you will see some ugly racial stereotypes in there that is surprising that Lego went there. I think I will stop saying stuff now.

Monday, June 30, 2014

Transformers Hero Mashers Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Grimlock, and Maybe Starscream.

The next group of Hero Mashers are out, and Transformers are their game. These are nice as they stay close to the original classics with a few pulled from various other times. They are similar in build to the Marvel, with maybe removable hands this time as well. Optimus Prime and Megatron mid sized sets are pretty fun, with lots of extras. These are worth picking up a few, and maybe some Marvel too, to build some pretty crazy stuff. If you are not into mixing, some make really good stand alone action figures too.

Micro Land World of Nintendo Mario Bros. U Layer Cake Dessert

Micro Land World of Nintendo Mario Bros. U Layer Cake Dessert, whew, thats a lot of words to write! I am still a sucker for these awesome sets, to be able to rebuild and custom a video game level in toy form is a great way to spend your day. The 2"x2" tile pieces work perfect here. The only complaint is price, as about 12.99 for a small and 19.99 for a deluxe. Even more off, is the mini builder 3 mini-figure packs for like around $6.99.  I saw a kid today at Toys R Us with one mini fig pack, probably all his money spent on that. Made me sad, buy some Legos or something kid, you will get more out of it! With that said, the tile sets is where its at. :)

Team Hot Wheels The Origin of Awesome Twin Mill, Baja Truck, Quick N' Sik, and Bone Shaker

Team Hot Wheels the Origin of Awesome is, well, AWESOME! If you have not got a chance yet to see the new show, I think its on Netflix for a few more weeks. Its a pretty good show, with good animation, great computer animated cars, and funny jokes. Like Power Rangers for Hot Wheels or something. I am no Hot Wheels history master, but the cars are all classics, and are perfect choice for the shows characters. Find em and drive em!

Hex Bug Warriors Transformers Age of Extinction Optimus Prime vs Galvatron

Looks like a nice crossover with Hex Bug Warriors and Transformers, and it makes perfect sense. I always enjoy a little battle arena with the bugs too. Galvatron's batteries were just a little too strong for a fair fight though. I like the little spike wings off of Galvatron. Fun fun!

Friday, June 20, 2014

Max Steel Power Orb Launcher Figure from Mattel

This toy is a little older already, but it looked kind of fun for a review. I think Robot Monster Space Super Hero might like it for the limited articulation too.

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Hot Wheels Let's Go Racer kart Crossover for Lego and other Brick men

Last week I came across the Hot Wheels Let's Go Racer kart, and have been constantly switching out who is the best figure to ride it. It fits the little Lego men, pretty well for not being a Lego product.  There is some slipping on the pegs, and a little bit of a trick locking hands onto the rail, but its still a fun ride. I am now looking forward to other styles in the future. I also now need to find the legendary FigRig.

Friday, June 13, 2014

McDonalds How to Train Your Dragon 2 Happy Meal Discs Toothless Cloudjumper Meatlug and more!

Not figures this time, but Flying frisbee discs. I guess in some other countries figures are offered. The discs do perform fairly well going 30 to 40 feet. Discs available are Toothless, Cloudjumper, Meatlug, Hookfang, Stormfly, and Belch and barf. Colorful and easy to find (except maybe the black Toothless). Find them June 13th for a few weeks onward!

Monday, June 09, 2014

Lego Mixels Series 2 Frosticons! Flurr Slumbo and Lunk!

More Mixels, the Frosticons have some unique shapes to them. Liking Lunk the best out of these.

Nano Hercules Indoor Gyro IR Helicopter "Unbreakable"

I am not that versed in the indoor helicopter arena, with my last copter being an Air Hogs from about over six years ago. I got a chance to play with a World Tech Toys Nano Hercules, and was pleasantly surprised at the improvements. Maybe because the helicopter is made of plastics, instead of foam, it flew really well indoors. I could keep a steady hover, fly forward, turn really easily and even attempt realistic landings (I still need some fine tuning practice). The copter also charges of USB which is genius, as remote control battery drain is less of an issue. Now if I can just land on that ceiling fan blade...

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Video Game from Little Orbit Xbox PS3 Wii and DS

With the truck loads of Dragons toys I have been reviewing through, it was neat to try out the new video game. The game is a fun and whimsical racer, tag, target shooter, fly around, game that can keep you busy for a few. Its nice that all five main Dragons are there, and play well. The game is available for most platforms (except maybe the most newest). Fun!

Giant Sized 40" but really 53" long Godzilla 2014 Figure from JAKKS Pacific

Funny how plastic being so expensive these days that this guy only runs about 50 bucks.

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Transformers Construct Bots Grimlock and Optimus Prime Age of Extinction

Construct Bots are one of those toys that seem to fill up the shelves and never go anywhere, but sometimes they are actually kind of fun to pick one up. They have pretty good size to them, and are more durable than your regular Transformer.

Grimlock and Optimus Prime are a good duo to get, like in the new movie Age of Extinction, Prime does some Grimlock riding. They do this pretty good in toy form. Grimlock has both good robot and dinosaur forms as well (usually the alternate forms are pretty bad).

Lego Mixels Series 2 Orange Packs Flexers Kraw, Tentro, and Balk!

The year must be moving fast as Series 2 Lego Mixels are already hitting shelves! I liked the orange bags the best, so I went with that first. They are from the flexible plastic lands I guess, but resemble sea life crabs and squids. The Flexers Max looks amazing but the pdf is not loaded yet, and I didn't want to attempt from one sided picture. Find these at Toys R Us and pretty much anywhere Legos are sold.

Evasion Mode Optimus Prime Transformers Age of Extinction Review

A good update to a classic, Evasion Mode Optimus Prime takes on the form or yesteryear. He looks awesome in both modes, and will continue my pile of Primes well.

McDonalds Happy Meal Pokemon X and Y Toy Collection Review!

Changing it up this time, Happy Meal tries a Pokemon style toy game (no figures). The Poke Balls or Pucks shoot out a disc that pops up a Pokemon character. You can set your game piece to an X, O, or Square for some Rock Paper Scissors style action. Each toy has a different Poke ball color, making for a very pretty collection. I don't think you need to collect all 12, maybe just a few of your favorites. They all look really nice, and shoot pretty far. Look for them now and throughout the next few weeks.

Characters included are #1 Chespin, #2 Pikachu, #3 Blastoise, #4 Fenneking, #5 Pancham, #6 Venusaur, #7 Froakie, #8 Xerneas, #9 Charizard, #10 Helioptile, #11 Yveltal, and #12 Mewtwo!

Dragons Defenders of Berk Scauldron Water Burst Attack

Scauldron the dragon can be a tricky find, but it looks like he is starting to make store shelves a little more often. Scauldron is a fun play with really springily flappy wings and spraying water head. Good color too. Keep an eye out for him in what is left of Berk stuff, as the newer How to Train Your Dragon 2 stuff floods the shelves.

McDonalds Happy Meal Pokemon X and Y Collection Video Review 2014

I am eagerly awaiting the collection of Pokemon X & Y toys coming out this friday! It has been over a year since Pokemon appeared in the happy meal box.

Expect my run down soon!!!

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Toys R Us exclusive White Bewilderbeast Final Battle Set

There are two Bewilderbeasts out there, Gray and White. Toys R Us has the exclusive White version. The toys are mostly the same, with the Gray chained up on the horns, and the White comes with two ice projectiles instead of one. A miniature Cloudjumper also comes with the White, while a Toothless comes with the Gray.

I think I like the White slightly better, maybe looking cleaner or something. They both are fun toys to knock stuff around with and battle each other.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Toothless Racing Stripes Power

Got to say AWESOME on this one. The red stripes just look really sleek. I guess maybe if you don't have a Toothless yet, get without stripes, but if you are in need of a striped one, you must get this!!!

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Ionix Toothless and Stormfly

Ionix brick Dragons are out for the new movie, and they are not that great at all. From first appearance they look pretty cool, but with a "Shapeshifting Block" core, they are rather lackluster. Well, at least Toothless, Stormfly and Hookfang have the bad build. I have yet to try Meatlug and Belch and Barf who have a different shapeshifting brick. Get them if you really like the Dragons, avoid if you are on the fence.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 CloudJumper the Stormcutter

Cloudjumper is one of the new Dragons for How to Train Your Dragon 2. He is a maroon mix of an X-wing and an Owl. Cloudjumper is a little smaller than some of the others, but he makes up it up in feeling more intricate. Flapping wings are fun.

Legends of Oz Dorothy's Return Singing Fashion Doll

I'm Pretty sure I am going to take some flake for reviewing this Legends of Oz Dorothy's Return Dolly, but my little girly needed a doll. This one sings all Lea Michele like, and fights Megazords, so she is pretty cool.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Bewilderbeast Final Battle Set

The Bewilderbeast final battle set for How to Train Your Dragon 2, is a head butting roaring good time. Scaled a bit larger than the regular sized dragons, Bewilderbeast has got it going in the action feature department. Mouth missiles and head and arm movements. A good toy for knocking stuff around!

Super Mario Bros. U Micro Land Deluxe Pack Acorn Plains Series 1

The deluxe Acorn Plains Mario Micro Land set is probably the best set you will get for your money out of any of these sets. All five pieces look nice, do some things, and look great displayed. I think there is one more pack out there I need to hunt down.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Hiccup vs. Drago

Its hard to believe with all the Dragons figures I have looked at, I never really tried the Humans out. Maybe they were too docile looking. Now with the new movie coming, there are updates to the humans with armor and better battle gear. They are still in the same scale, and Hiccup fits nicely on top of Toothless. Drago, is a little bulky, and hard to sit though. These are pretty fun to sit on Dragons, and make play even more daring. Look for them now appearing on shelves.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Toothless vs Dragon Catcher Trap

Mini Dragon toys are introduced for the new movie. The Trap toys are kind of a fun novel toy to play with. See if you can get Toothless to escape this crafty trap.

Plants vs Zombies Wall-Nut Bowling Building set K'nex

Ha ha ha, I love Wall-nut, he cracks me up! To get a Wall-nut you have to go to the building sets. This guy is rolling fun on his bowling ramp. Poor zombie.

The Simpsons Lego Minifigures Mystery Packs Part 2

A second round of Simpsons blind packs opening a foot. So far, identifying packs has been pretty smooth.  A small mix up with Lisa and Mr Burns happened I think, I totally had the Plutonium rod in hand, but ended up with a saxamaphone. Such a whimsical collection, just need to finish off with Burns, Millhouse, and Apu.

McDonalds The Amazing Spider-Man Happy Meal 8 Blue Toys

I stuck with just the Happy Meal "blue" toys this time for the new Spider-Man movie. An interesting collection this time of figures, vehicles, spiders, cards, mask, and a book. Now on to next month with the return of Pokemon!

imaginext Mystery Packs Series 2 Opening and Codes

Blind bag-valanche lately, this time imaginext's mystery packs.  These guys are fun, but could again use a girl. Only 8 this time, and with the imprinted number on back upper left corner they are pretty easy to collect. Happy hunting!

The Simpsons Lego Minifigures Blind Packs Opening and Codes

Finally out and appearing are The Simpsons Lego Minifigures! 16 awesome characters out there, to go finding crazy. Found a few bags today at Walgreens, and I think May 1st is the official release date. I'll post a pic of my codes soon...

Nickelodeon Rabbids Invasion Blind Mystery Packs Series 1

More mystery packs to infuriate yourself with. Rabbids Invasion only has seven to collect, but that just makes repeats more possible. These are fun though, always wanted some Rabbids on the shelf.

Fart'n around with a Nickelodeon Rabbids Invasion Plunger Blaster

It was always a dream of mine to collect a bunch of really bizarre toy guns, mount them to a wall somewhere and pretend they were real guns. Maybe the Rabbids Plunger Blaster can finally start off that dream.

Plants vs. Zombies K'nex Mystery Blind Packs Codes

K'nex does such a fancy job with Mario, I had to try Plants vs. Zombies. 8 mystery figures are sealed inside the blind bags, four plants and four zombies. Again, its pretty easy to avoid repeats, as long as you check that number on the back with the little lines below. Overall the figures look pretty good, except for K'nex's dysfunctional brick bases. Those can be removed, and play can be resumed. My favorites are Bonk Choy and Traffic Cone head Zombie.

0 - Sunflower
0 - (Double line) Bloomerang
5 - Peashooter
1 - Bonk Choy
4 - Business Suit Zombie
0 - Cowboy Zombie
0 - Mummy Zombie
6 - Cone Head Zombie

Crashlings Catapult City

A Catapult City is the place to be if you are a Crashling. The set features a bustling city that gets attacked via Crashling ramp, zip-line, and catapult. Lots of silly mayhem going about in capsule land. I think the best part of the set is the little stackable city on the destruction pad. Its fun to use the simple catapult and attack with.

Micro Land Super Mario Bros. U World of Nintendo

I was floored to find out that Mario was next in line to get the Micro treatment from JAKKS Pacific. I was also floored that the build treatment matched the Smurfs Micro Village puzzle tile layout. So now the floor plan can get bigger and bigger. Its not with out some pit falls though, the price is high for just a few tiles that really don't do that much. Mario looks good though, and with a few more sets, you can quickly set up a nice level. There are Acron Plains levels and Layer cake desert levels to start. I can see this as only the beginning!

Lego Mixels Series 1 Cragsters Krader Shuff and Seismo Opening

Its official, I am a Mixel nut. Too much fun with these guys for a good price too. The Cragsters were a lot cooler than I thought too. Shuff has lots of character, Krader's spin slap is strong, and Seismo is tall.

Crashlings Series 1 Meteor Mutants from Outer Space

Crashling Meteors from Wicked Cool Toys are worth picking up a few. Not only are the little capsule toys fun, but half of the capsule shell itself is an active popping disc. The Sea Life set featured in the vid are Spongebobian, and If I see them again in stores, I think I will pick up the Alien pack.

The Smurfs Micro Village Circus Smurf Starter Set Series 2

I finally broke down and paid the high dollar for a couple Series 2 sets. They are no where to be found at local retail, only appearing on Amazon.com.  I really needed this Circus Starter set, mainly for the cannon. It was the worth the extra bucks.

McDonalds Skylanders Swap Force Happy Meal Toy Collection 2014

I don't know too much about Skylanders the game, but what I know about toys gets me excited to play around with these guys. This style of Happy Meal toy is my favorite. Yeah they are probably way off in scale, and other styles, but they are fun to figure out and play with. Props to Rattle Shake, Free Ranger, and Chompy!

Tail Strike Godzilla 2014

With all these Dragons toys accumulating, I had to try out a new Godzilla toy. His action feature performs pretty well, and is a fun play. Looking forward to the new movie.

Lego Mixels Series 1 Red Infernites Flain Vulk and Zorch

I enjoyed the yellow Electroids so much, I went ahead and got the Infernites. They seem like a good value too, only about 5 bucks a bag.

1988 Lego Space Futuron Sets

My un-vaulted Lego bin keeps giving...

1988 Lego Space Futuron Sets! Again, I figured I would have less than 50% of the parts to complete any of these old sets. Turns out I had closer to 95%!!! Futuron sets where like the Next Generation of Lego Space sets. You can even see it in the uniforms...

I completely forgot about the Lego Futuron Twin-Winged Spoiler 6828 until I saw instructions online. I knew those strange wing pieces did something cool, they turn into legs! I so have a walking lego leg space fetish!

The Lego Futuron Hovercraft 6875 was an all time favorite of mine for throwing down the stairs, exploding, and rebuilding. Fun Fact: Side pods detach into drones.

The Lego Futuron Strategic Pursuer 6848, is another leg walking set. This one had really good articulation for a late 80's toy set.

I almost have enough pieces for another Futuron set, but I can't figure what they are for yet. Maybe I got a few spare parts from friends. Such fancy sets of yesterday!

Then there is this older space set. I'm just not sure which set its from. Either 885 Space Scooter or 6803 Space Patrol. Hmmmm, I have parts for either.

1986 Lego Alien Moon Stalker 6940

After seeing Benny in "The Lego Movie" I was really curious to see how my ancient Lego collection was doing in my Parent's basement depository. I was pretty sure that my 1986 Lego Alien Moon Stalker would be in dire shape, missing at least half of its pieces. Turns out, I had enough to rebuild it, with just a few substitutions!

Probably one of my all time favorite Lego sets ever made, because of its many features. A quadrupedal walker (like a Star Wars AT-AT), with two detachable side ships, and two missiles carried in its center.

The flexible gripper arm is more awesome than you can dream awesome.

I have two extra Space Minifigures, which I am not sure what they are from, but they are a nice addition to the team. One space missile is incomplete. I am more than thrilled that I have my original set, and did not have to find someone else's through eBay.

Also in the bin of Legos, that I had to rebuild from, was a Blacktron Space Walker!!! I apparently have something for walking Lego ships? Again, amazing that I had enough of the pieces to rebuild.

(The guy on the red bike is clearly a serial killer btw.)

And for a quick insane size comparison with the newer Star Wars AT-AT!

So glad I took the time to look, and rebuild the Moon Stalker. Also glad the internet has all the instructions still around, and a tablet to work from! This set will again be displayed and played for years to come.
