McDonalds Happy Meal Batman Unlimited Toys

Batman Unlimited is in the Happy Meal box this month, and I would say they are looking pretty good for dollar toys. Some interesting figures, with Solomon Grundy being the standout.

Two nice looking Batmobiles, one with a really crazy front drill...

Hammer Joker not only stands, but hammers well, and makes a good laugh sound effect.

Two Joker Vehicles as well, The motorcycle is a fun play.

ZERBOZ DC Series 2

What to say about Zerboz balls? Another blind mini toy for about a buck. I skipped series 1, but thought I would give three seconds to series 2. Judging on what I got, I probably will stay away from Zerboz in the future.

Aquaman's stance sure isn't helping his rank in the Justice League. Is he playing air pool with a trident? Bizzaro is the best of the three, but can someone tell me what the medallion is for? I think I like Robin better without pants.

So yeah, they are about a buck each of fun.

Imaginext Batman with Jet Pack

Just spent the better part of the last week sick, so today a first venture out, I had to buy a toy, ANY TOY. This one looked cool, so in the cart it goes! 

Another perfect imaginext toy, black suited Batman snaps inside spiffy jet pack.

Fun can be had with this toy in many ways.

Optimus Prime and Batman clustering

I recently tried to refresh my Batman shelf, by removing some Batmen, and adding some random villains. I am not too satisfied yet, as it does not look balanced right. It's unfortunate that many of the older Batman figures stand so poorly. They domino each other too easily.

Then there is the Optimus Prime shelf above. What's up with that?

Retro-Action DC Super Heroes Superman and Batman

I am just now finally getting a chance to own a few Retro-Action DC Super Heroes. I REALLY wanted one when they first appeared on shelves a couple years ago, but I guess something else won out. The good guys also flew off shelves faster than the bad guys, which are still there.

I have this vague Pre-School like memory where a "play-date" with another kid yielded a chance to play with possible originals. I am thinking at hardest capacity here, as I remember playing with a Spiderman, and I think Batman.  I am sure if given a time machine, that wasn't even close, they were really obscure toys like Turnip Peat and Paper Cut-out Flat Stanly.

With the story aside, these two Retro Doll/Figures are have lots of nostalgia pack in, and they look awesome on the old mantle. They have joints, but those are really meant for play, as some spring back, others don't hold a stance. The clothing is very thin, but flexible. Capes are capey, with ability for fan flowing. Batman has a Bruce Wayne face under the mask.

The colors really pop, and I can just imagine the whole collection would be fantastic.

Up! Up! and Away!

Hot Wheels - The Bat - Dark Knight Rises - Yellow Card 27/50

The Bat! I have not been in the loop of upcoming Hot Wheels vehicles, so this was a surprise to see for me. The big shocker is I have yet to see the new movie!!! Things were so busy during the release, I couldn't find time, then when I finally did, all the show times were not jiving with the whole baby sitting schedule. So hopefully, when it hits dollar theatre times, I can get to see what The Bat actually does. At this time, it looks like a broach that Bruce Wayne wears to social effects.

I almost wish they added wheels to this thing too. Maybe unevenly so it bounce hovers across the floor. 

Hot Wheels Batman Edition Wall Tracks Starter Set in Action

Wow, what a day! I am still a bit dizzy from constantly picking up Batmobiles and reloading them into the track. I don't think I have every played so hard, and with such a strange toy. Who ever came up with these wall tracks is a genius. This is just a starter pack, so you can add more tracks to this for even more stunts and action. I am very pleased overall with the function of this toy, with very little mishaps. My only problem is I don't have a free wall I can keep this on, so its going to have to come down. Moving these tracks is the only real problem. If you have a permanent free wall, its all good. The Tumbler Batmobile performed so-so. The rubber band propelled loop helped push it through, but a heavier car like the Arkham Asylum did a little better. Also, if you are doing a chain of cars, there are times of mass crash, but not to bad if you plan the right cars. Good Day.

Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Batman Edition

As soon as I saw this Hot Wheels Batman Edition Wall Tracks set online the other day, I didn't stop eating candy until I found it. I even called a few stores, which in hind site were not helpful, as I found the very set the next day at that very same store called!!! I can rest now, but with slight buyer's remorse ($34.99 Toys R Us). 

Trouble at the Batcave

Its always "interesting" what happens to the toys when the Niece and Nephews come over and visit. Things must have got really crazy when Batman had to Bat-a-rang his own Semi truck up onto the second floor railing.

Smurfette was able to tie up Gorilla Grodd on the crain before her untimely demise.

Finally, when a Power Ranger falls, it is tradition to place their sword on their back as they lay with their arms and legs in the air.

Batman with Torn Tights

You can't get any more basic than this Batman in torn tights. Another Grocery Outlet gem, Batman here comes with... well, nothing but a torn up costume. I am assuming the factory made about one billion of them, as every year at this time, another block of Batman figures like this one, are thrown up on the shelves. I will take it though. Maybe I will run into a situation where I need a less then spiffed up Batman.

He is of the same style as this Silver suit/cape Batman I found a few years back. I like how the fabric cape is draped around his shoulders and neck. Although, it bounces around a little more, then the normal neck capes.

imaginext Clayface

This time I made the not mistake of buying the toy, and not missing out when I came back for it. Clayface is a must have in the imaginext line. I actually only have the first Bat-Cave (Yeah, there is a new one coming!!!) with Batman and Robin, so I have been needing bad guys for a long time.

Clayface has four points of articulation and a hinged mouth (un-springed) to eat stuff.

He has a soft plastic hammer fist to fit onto either hand. Bat-man likes to jump on them.

Bat-man almost seems happy to be hanging out inside Clayface.

There is no exit location for Bat-man, so you just have to use your imaginextation.

Hot Wheels, Thrill Racers ICE, Tread Air 3/6

There are a lot of sharp looking Hot Wheels cars out this year. I am not sure how the Tread Air could really exist, but I would like someone to try and build one.

It has a half tread half chainsaw like look that screams Carmageddon!

At the very least it will team up with Buzzerk and try and cut up the new Batmobile.

Hot Wheels, 2011 New Model, Arkham Asylum Batmobile 24/50

It seems like each summer Hot Wheels has us searching for a Batmobile or some pop culture icon. This years is the Arkham Asylum Batmobile (Which reminds me, I really need to stop playing Lego Batman, and play Arkham).

I usually keep these in package, unless I find two, but this time I had to rip this one out right away. It has many angles of niftiness. I see a dozen Batmobile themes is this version.

Not a bad view from any spot. It feels a little heavier then other cars, I might briefly run it on the Batman Hotwheels track. Keep your eye out for it, I found one at Target on a Hot Wheels display baron of much to choose from.

Hotel for Dogs; Georgia, or is it?

I did the McDonalds lunch today, thinking I could get another set of Batman toys, for the work office desk. As its late in the game for this promotion, they had exhausted their supplies, and dug deep into the box and gave me this...

It's Georgia from Hotel for Dogs, a movie from 2009. Its hard to believe that box was back there so long. He is cute, and I think I have a perfect use for him.

I never had a Ma-Mutt toy, and now I do.

Well, before he became rabid I guess.

Batman The Brave and the Bold; Attack Copter with Batman, who else?

I have learned three things today. Always buy the toy, the first time you see it weeks ago. Who cares if you don't have the immediate funds for it. And remember when people throw fake buckets of blood on you at Burlington Coat factory, its only for the fur coats and not the toys.

I was worried at first it was gone for good, but after the panic subsided and I used the "Toy Force" I found the set I saw weeks ago, wedged in between some old crap. I really just wanted the normal suit Batman, the Attack Copter was an added bonus.

A strange bonus, that is. What is the deal with the head on the front? It looks like Batman is sitting on an Attack toilet.

Luckily the Attack Copter comes apart and makes weapons!

I can now play Batman's stealth raid on Bin Laden's hideout in Pakistan.

The Attack Copter weapons don't look half bad. The face shield, what's with that?

Good set for 9.99, now I don't have to order this online.
