I washed my Thunder Tank today...

It certainly was not happy about it.

Tri Klops Escapes!

Well actually he escaped out of the package years ago. Unlike poor Buzz-Off and Orko and Trap Jaw and Beast Man and... Maybe some day soon I will let a few more loose. I really don't have anywhere to put the boxes anyway. I will have to have a lottery to see who is the lucky figure to gain freedom next!

Wow! What a jump!!!

The Constux crew has finished the jump and boy does it look deadly.

Every once and awhile a toy comes out that breaks all the rules of fun. I just wish this came out when I was five. Oh the legos, antique china, and windows I would have slammed metal cars into with this thing!

It even has a nice pully elevator system for short people who can't reach the top to put cars on.

So far my Hotwheels Speed Racer car goes the longest distance. Dan's Toy Museum totally recommends buying this toy. Mine was only 13.00 at Target!

2006 Winter Toy Olympic Construction Report.

Things are in full swing in the construction of the 2006 Winter Toy Olympics. As we sit, three Construx men are working around the clock building the future state of the toy Ski Jump facilities.

In this picture two workers decide which piece will work better.

Oh God, Series 3, Here we go again...

I found the Star Wars Attactix series 3 starter pack today thus beginning another costly endeavor. I am going to try my best just to buy three extra booster packs and one cool deluxe Jabba pack. Thats it! I have no room for these guys. (lets just say there was a vacuum incident in the spare room situation) Actually series 3 isn't that enticing, with many figures being reused and the diversity all mostly from A New Hope. That's a good thing now, but when the mostly Empire Strikes back series comes out, I will be a poor poor toy collector. I just hope this time when I buy my first few packs I will get three unique rare ones and not three of the same right off the bat! Maybe they do that on purpose though? TO make my blood boil for more? Oh well, let the Wars of series 3 commence!

2006 Winter Toy Olympic Special Report!

The Winter Toy Sport World was shocked today when it was discovered that Ice Team Bionicle has been cheating! Apparently members of the team have been adding pieces, a practice called "Adding Legoroids." Spokesfigures for the team insist these added pieces are just for the upcoming practices and will be removed from offical play when the Olimpics start in February. Han Solo has cried Foul to the whole idea, claiming that Hoth team can't do things like that to thier joints. Judges will continue to investigate, and will make a final decision on what penalties should be given to the Bionicles. Check back for further developments.

Number One Toy!

I put in my application to be a Stone Cutter the other day. I hope I can get in and climb the ladder. Or at least reinact a civil war battle with monkeys.

2006 Winter Toy Olympics Torch relay begins...

Mighty Max has received the symbolic flame from the great Lava Lord today.

The flame will begin a long and noble journey...

Uh-OH!

It appears Mighty Max was not wearing fire retardant clothing!

Hopefully this will be the last accident in the ceremonial torch relay.

At least we know who gets the window.

In a private ceremony, Starscream has delcared himself leader of the Decepticons. Or at least king of the window.

Another Spare Room Situation!

Just when I thought Unicron and Greyskull were distracted enough to move my stuff in, Darth Vader marched in with an Attacktix army of Clones!

It looks like the Emperor has claimed the room now and has taken control of all strategic power outlets.

Will this Madness ever End???

Battleship Update...

Let's find out the results of the deciding game of Battleship for the spare room.

In a sentence I thought I would never say, It looks like Castle Greyskull has sunk Unicron's Battleship!

Unicron is displaying some great Sportsmanship...

Oh, nevermind.

Maybe, best two out of three?

Spare Room!

After three fun years of Gauntlet marathons and 2:00 am Walmart toy runs my Roomate got married and moved out, thus opening up the extra room. I'm thinking about making it a nice guest room with a calming bubble fount...

UH-OH! It appears Unicron, Supreme Planet Transformer, has claimed this room his!

Wait a Second! Castle GreySkull has announced its intentions of using the room. This looks like a really bad situation is developing here.

Intriguing! The two have decided on a peacefull game of Battleship to deside who gets the room!

Check back soon to discover the winner!

(I hope its me)

This had all the makings of a great picture but...

My contacts were out and I couldn't really get things focused right. I think there was some sort of comedy routine with Saruman and some sort of fuzzy thing I can't make out. Thats me with the Umbrella though!

Finally! They released Cliffy!

Now if only Norm was dressed up as one of the Cantina aliens (we still have Morn thought from Ds9) On a side note, I saw my favorite Cheers episode the other night where the guys go on a road trip only to have Cliffs car break down miles from a resort. "I hate to see the wolf that could drag off Norm" -Frasier. Of course the best episode ever was the Jeopardy Cliff episode. "Who are two people that haven't been in my kitchen!"

The Agony!

I like how I have 14 unopened really cool Masters of the Universe toys on my wall tempting me every day to tear them open and have the greatest play time of all! Bwa-ha-ha...Sob! Alas, I should just leave them there, that darn 'value' thing. Which begs the question why do we toy collectors do that? It is silly, the whole point of the thing is to use it, not imprison it. Why should I have no fun leaving it in the box, so that 40 years later I sell it to some geek for 10% more then I bought it, just to have that geek have all the fun with it. [...] I really should erase this post, or I might be opening some toys soon.

Don't let the sticker price fool you!

Finally Metroid Prime 2:Echoes came down in price. I got mine on sale for 20 small ones. This game should have it all, specially multiplayer for up to four fun filled players. Now this begs the question...Where are all the cool Metroid toys? I don't have one of those. :(

2006 Winter Toy Olympic Judges announced!

Captain Sisko, Wonder Woman, and well... Brainiac, will be the Judges for the Toy Winter Olympics. Hopefully their decisions and rulings will be fair, just, and accurate.

Geek Challenge!

I challenge anyone to send me a more geeky Star Trek shrine picture then the one that I built in my old basement room at my parents house (I know, nice symbolism for the location). I really need to dust DS9 off a little.

oh and here's a link about requesting a Star Trek DS9 miniseries to add to the geekyness of this post.

Yes, more paper airplanes.

I am going to half to build a paper aircraft carrier one of these days.

Stikfas Accessorize!

I guess Its going for the ninja with glasses look. Nice ice climbing gear on the feet and cool bandaged leg. And plenty more stickers to go!

Thursday, January 05, 2006

Not another plane! Relax, only 360 to go!

This one is my favorite design yet. I will have to use it next time I go to a major sporting event.

2006 Winter Toy Olympic Updates...

It has been confirmed that in an effort to bridge the sexes, Hoth team has signed Jedi Aayla Secura to play. When asked about her lack of warm weather accessories, Han Solo said she would be fine due to her already frozen appearance. Meanwhile, Ice Team Bionicle has cried foul to the signing, claiming the toy signing deadline has already been passed. No real news of what is going on here is official.

In other news, Polar Claw one of the more powerfull cold weather Beast Wars Transformers, was snowed in up north and will not be able to attend. His claw/paw arm will, however, be present for the curling event since it can transform into a bat and was able to make the journey in time. Batman was quoted in saying that he was very interested in this technology.

Tuesday and Wednesday Paper Airplanes.

The stars and flames one on the left is a design I have used since long ago when my friend showed me how to build something that would fly from one side of the church sanctuary to the other. The right one could very well be the infamous 1988 design. I had made the perfect airplane back then. It would fly straight, dive a little, fly straight some more, dive a little, fly straight some more, dive a little, fly straight some more, and the land gently to the ground. Then a large truck drove over it and that was the end of that.

2006 Winter Toy Olympics Athletes Announced!

Today the official cast of the 2006 Winter Toy Olympics has been released. The challengers have been training for months and are ready for some fierce and frosty competition. Can team Ice Bionicle claim the Gold in Ice Hockey from the power house Hoth team? Will Polar Blast Batman defeat Mr. Freeze in Curling? Is there a chance Fist-o can outlift more then a ton of ice? Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the winter toy games!

Paper Airplanes!

I finally got a chance to buy one of those cool daily calenders that you can actually use. This one gives you the opportunity to build a paper airplane ervery day.

So far I built two helicopters (weekends), and one 'lightning' jet. I will have to save all these up for a nice fleet. Maybe drop all the helicopters off a tall building or something.

I tell ya, they're family!

These two look way alike. I had no idea that Duke's father was Major Chip Hazard!
