What would happen? Beach Head vs. Serpentor

I wonder what would happen if Beach Head and Serpentor accidentally crossed paths in the hallway?

Surely Serpentor would not care for a GI Joe like Beach Head, and begin to spurt out Cobra propaganda.

Offended by this speach, Beach Head would probably shoot off Serpentor's helmet as a challenge to his superiority.

This of course would infuriate the Cobra Emperor to throw his deadly snake staff at Beach Head.

Beach Head would survive this attack, and counter by destroying what Serpentor holds most dear.

A nerve was struck and Serpentor's rage is unleashed at Beach Head full force.

I would think Beach Head has the skills to toss off Serpentor.

Then in a horribly violent display, in which Beach Head is now permanently banned from this blog, he shoots Serpentor in the head.

Beach Head would then take the former Emperor's helmet and declare himself as the new leader of Cobra, Beachentor, and fly away on the restored chariot.

At least I think that is what would happen.

Battle Armor He-Man

If you watched last weeks GI Joe video, you saw that the new Matty Collector's Battle Armor He-Man made a short cameo. This is my first purchase of the Masters of the Universe collectors line for myself. The last few times I was too late, or just forgot. Ironically my first He-man figure ever was the Battle Armor version, so this one has sentimental value all over it. Now I just need to pick up a Battle Armor Skeletor.

Like everyone I have mixed reviews on how Mattel is handling this line. Why on Eternia are their quantities so low is beyond me. Some one needs to show Mattel how Capitalism is supposed to work. Like Jerry Seinfeld says about cars and limited editons, "Limited to the number they sell!" Also wonder why they don't just limit one or at most two per person with those low numbers. On the other hand, its kind of fun seeing what you can get, and it looks like reissues keep coming back. If they keep this up for twenty years, one might be able to collect them all. I am just waiting for them to also drop the size to 3 3/4" figures after you buy all the large sized versions.

I can't decide if i should open this or not. Keep the value, or play the heck out of it. They are a little spendy for play, and believe me I have plenty of other toys to play with. I might just wait until I pick up a few villains for him to fight before deciding. I wish the packaging were made so that you could take him out without destroying it.

GI Joe and Cobra run amok again.

A tour of the new home is interrupted by a ragging battle between GI Joe and Cobra forces.

Hot Wheels Mystery Car Contest 2!

In celebration of the new homestead, and my now depleted toy budget, lets have another Hot Wheels mystery car guessing contest! Rules are pretty simple, comment on what you think it is! The comment who is the closest wins the car. In the event of a tie, the car will be cut in half and given to the two winners (I work with people with power tools, don't think I won't). One hint that others took advantage of last time is searching online to see what cars could be inside. Or just let the fates fly like typing blue striped mini van! I will post the opening of the box on this blog in about a week or so for the results. Only comment on this post to enter. Good luck to you all!

And Bryan, if you win again, and lose the car, I won't go through the trouble of miraculously re-finding it for you.

Here are some pictures of my new Bugatti Veyron!

Almost looks like the car is wearing underwear on the hood.

Love the weathered matte finish paint.

Says it has a W 16 engine, how does that work?

Hot Wheels Tooligan

The Tooligan caught my eye today at the store. Mainly because of the funky wrench sticking out the back. Its not only a toy car its a useful tool on wheels.

On closer inspection it has twin turbine engines shaped like screwdrivers, a measuring scale on the front bumper, and the sides have wrench like shapes as well. The gold might be a little too flashy though, a chrome may have been more appropriate.

The base also has a hex bolt hole which I need to try out and see what it does.

Good Lord 2!

I am also crazy enough to keep all my action figure backer cards. Here are some of my favorites...

The Shadow is missing its UPC as I sent it in for a spiffy ring. I wonder what bin thats in?

Hands down the best card artwork! Spoon!

Good Lord!

Yep, thats probably 97% of all my toys in one glorious toy reunion gathering of 2010. Hard to show scale, but that BMF is huge by itself. Maybe its time to retire collecting?

Cleaning Scuba

Scuba spent years in old Sparticus's fish tank, and accumulated quite the muck. I finally took a minute to wash him.

There is still a little Sparticus filth left on him, but I'll let it slide.

Now he can join his friends on the windowsill ledge and fade into the sunset.

Star Wars Transformers; Anitran 7

The other gift I gave myself for X-mas was a Star Wars Transformer. I saw a few at the store for anther toy busting low deal, so I picked up a Jedi Knight ship. I am pretty sure this one has been reissued/painted/modeled a dozen times for many of the different Jedi. I would have preferred an Obi-Wan, but I liked the yellow Star fighter too. I call this one Anitran 7 because this is probably the seventh repaint.

I think his robot form went pretty well. Some of these Star Wars Transformers end up, well, tubby or my favorite word portly. Or they have so many panels sticking out, they hardly look like a robot guy. This one has good form and proportions. I did omit his light speed drive back pack, that just looks silly.

It makes for a good floor buffer though. Or Jedi floating chair.

A bummer with some of these new editions is the omission of the mini pilots. Something about a pilot flying a ship that turns into a mech resembling the pilot says Ego. Now the other mech Transformer Star Wars toys will think the new ones are missing the brains to the machine.

GI Joe tRoC; Raven the new Night Raven Part 1

Believe it or not, I only asked for two toys for X-mas this year. Actually I didn't ask for any, I bought two toys, gave them to my wife to give to me. Pretty good system eh? Had to get the Night Raven to finish the Rise of Cobra collection. It was on a great toy sale deal too, over half off! All though as a present, I guess that shouldn't matter.

Hasbro pumped the playablity with this thing to the extreme. No really, you can hand pump the fuselage to arm and double fire the 12 missiles. You can seriously throw down some major projectile vomit at the GI Joe front lines. Also armed with a ton of cool sound effects and lights. There is a lower handle with trigger which flies the damn thing all over the place (with your arm attached of course).

The photo makes the plane appear black, but its really an off gray dark navy blue, which is a bit of a downer. Don't know why they couldn't match the black from the Cobra Hummer. The cockpit is like the classic, entry from below, but only seats one. And where is the mini plane that used to sit up top? That thing was killer dangerous! Landing gear is minus nice rubbery rolly tires which is a real bad play by Hasbro. What puts GI Joe toys above the cheap stuff in the dollar bins, is those extra touches like nice rubbery rolly tires.

When I get a chance, I will show more of the awesome power of this fully armed and operational battle plane.

Boise State Wins the Fiesta Bowl 17-10!

What another thrilling game! Well not so much thrilling, but more of a punting fiesta. Very nice defensive effort for both teams. TCU and Boise State are really solid teams this year, and made for a great bowl game! When the offensive plays did come, WOW very impressive! Always love a successful fake punt! So any toy enthusiast college football fans outside of Idaho catch the game and enjoy? Or did your team kick some major bowl butt on someone else this year? Go Broncos!

Best Junk of 2009!

Clearly the GI Joe Rise of Cobra toys were my favorite stuff to over collect last summer. Awesome all around. Best part is the tons of accessories and display bases they came with. Wish other toy lines would get that idea too.

I splurged on the bailed Indiana Jones line last winter. Temple of Doom wasn't my favorite movie, but it had the best characters of the four movies by far. Or at least the action figures of the characters were a had to have.

Perceptor was actually my favorite Transformer find of the year, but he is already packed away for the upcoming move. So there is these two instead; Mudflap and Skids. I hate them in the movie with a passion, but in toy form they are great. I prefer to believe they are intelligent and appropriately funny Autobots. They are used as successful spokesman for GM cars in selling new technology every week on TV. Their faces were deformed because they crashed in Paris and saw some Picasso paintings in museum windows.

Lots of Star Wars figures in the back ground that you have to have year. The Treadwell Droid is my favorite, and Leesub is really starting to make a name for herself on this blog. The two Jawas are my first ever in Jawa purchasing.

And to round out something that is not a toy, the best soundtracks this year. If you want some excellent toy playing music, here it is. The End Credits to Star Trek is fantastic, and the Ginormica Suite will certainly blow you away.
