Green Lantern Animated Series Happy Meal Toys 2012 - Full Set Reviewed

Oh Boy, Green Lantern toys and a rare appearance of Dan Lantern? This is the best day ever!

I hate to say I only saw the opening Green Lantern Animated first episode, I lost my Cable connection after that. It wasn't bad, better than expected as the animation looked kind of plane. But with plane came lots of other neat stuff that wasn't expected. Good story, lots of action, not laziness. I will be sure to watch a season when its all said and done.

The mask actually fits pretty good for an adult meat head like me. The ring barely fits on my pointer finger. For once, its pretty neat as the button is inside the ring, so easily turn-on-able.

The Kilowog toy is HUGE for a Happy Meal toy. His hand lever works really well too. His head is also kind of cool being set inside his body slightly. Too bad he is the only other Green Lantern fig, they could have skipped crouch roll attack Green Lantern.

I don't know why I keep displaying the Spaceship as if it were backwards? I guess on the fly of video intenseness I wasn't watching what I was doing. The disc inserts in the FRONT and fires out the FRONT! The black bar window is a dead clue.

I am thinking this will be another three week promotion from 3/30 to 4/20 maybe 4/27.

Masters of the Universe 2002 Buzz-off

Digging real deep into my stock pile of toys today, I find Buzz-Off. A tremendous figure from 2002, yikes that's 10 years ago!!!

I am very fond of the early 2000 Masters figures, more so than the new. They are more modernized, and with less joints, less problems. Or its more about value, I bought this figure for around 7.99 vs 30 dollars for a new Matty Collector item. Of course, this Buzz-off in pack today is around 24.99 to 35.99, I just couldn't part, and tore him out.

I will go on a limb and say he is top five out of the 200X line. Very detailed, very armly, and very buzzy. A standout figure for the ages. Although not a "stand-up" figure, he falls over easily. Not sure if that is a product of being in package for ten years, or just the awkward flat stance of his feet. Regardless, Buzz-Off is an amazing toy.

One of my favorite episodes of the relaunched 200X show, was when Skeletor stole and ate some of the honeycombs (Ambrosia) that Buzz-Off's Bee-people protected, giving him super strength.

Micro Machines Travel City Playset Review Part 1

A lifelong goal has been reached, last week I acquired the Toll Bridge set, which completes all 15 original Micro Machine City fold-up blocks. This tiny city has amazed me for years, and hope for years to come. I still need to get the next wave of sets like the City Hall and Bank, but those get spendy as they are the Bengali Pumy-ra and Linx-O of Micro Machines. So here is a lengthy review. If you find too long, I recommend the 1.5x speed, its very silly.

G.I. Joe The Pursuit of Cobra: Blowtorch the Flamethrower

Digging in my stockpile of overstock toys today, I found Blowtorch. As much as I like Blowtorch, I was surprised to see him not opened yet. He is a classic character from the old show and very recognizable. I believe this toy is pretty much a reissue from the remnants of the 25th anniversary line that I missed? I am very pleased he got a slight upgrade and or encore in the very well made Pursuit of Cobra line.

So it looks like I have two fire starters now, and one fire extinguisher.

I wonder how these guys get along in the break room?

Yeah, that's about what I thought.

Clones and Storms Troopers

I have to say it, I really enjoy my new Cannon EOS T3i. I barely set these guys up, and with just a couple of half assed clicks, I had some awesome results. It would have taken over 30 shots with my old Camera, and still look awful. To think if I used a Tripod and adjusted the lighting and settings just a little more, these guys would have look even better.

I was doing a shoot for a pal, and I had to gather my Stormies and Clonies together. I do have a few more around in storage, which I should find, and do a larger group photo. I didn't realize I had even this many. I wonder how many I have total... 20?

80's Toy Vehicle Battle the Movie Live - Directors Cut!

Well here we go again. Its really a bummer, to get the video safely approved, I had to reduce from 720, add a silly Directors plug, remove a short song that should be royalty free, and add bongos. I am mainly annoyed with the non 720, as it used to look so clean. It should still be a fun watch, and I hope you enjoy.

Moshi Monsters Moshlings! Series 1 Blind Pack Opening and Review

While I try and figure out what to do with the Epic 80's Vehicle Battle debacle, Here is a quick review on a Moshi Monster. I caught a commercial the other day and thought, I would like to see one up close. Not that exciting, I guess if I had 100 more...

80's Toy Vehicle Battle the Movie Live and HD - it no there!? Update...

I go to play, it no there! Well yes, I temporarily had to suspend it. Even though all content was created by me, with royalty free stock sound effects and music owned by me included, the YouTube filters think I didn't create it or own it, and they won't allow advertising on it. Thats a big deal, if you want to keep the door open for partnership stati in the future. So I have to go through and see what is tweaking sensors off. Yes it is mainly a parody of GI Joe, but I changed the logos, and redrew the vehicles in my own way and I doubt the sensors saw that anyways. It could be picking up on all the sounds so I may have to dumb those down or something. Again they are all common stock sound effects with no value. What is really silly, is that its probably going to be a low view level video, with no real intent on copyrighting anyone. Just something cool I made, that I wanted to share, and get a tiny tiny tiny bit back from. So give me a few days to sort this out.

GI Joe HAVOC Cartoon; Day 6 - No Show :(

Ughhh, so I worked extra early to finish my new movie project, its spiff-tacular btw, only to have YouTube's uploader not working ALL DAY! How frustrating! I want it off my desk, and into the interwebs, but alas, no go! I guess, I will try tomorrow. In the mean time, check out these guys I was able to trade with BubbaShelby from Toyriffic.

I quickly drooled when he first put them up, as both these figures have 80's sentimental value for me. Luckily a trade was negotiated, and I was reunited with two great figures.

I obtained my first Destro figure from a trade also. A friend down the street let me trade a garden pumpkin for Destro. I was so happy, as he was in excellent shape. Such good shape, I never played with him outside, or placed him in Lifeline's "Medic Mixes". I was afraid to un-polish his head. Somehow that Destro was lost, well he could be under a building on my Dad's train table, but that could take years more to find.

Cobra Commander was another favorite. I believe this was the second run leader, first only available my the awesome mail away deals of yesteryear. I with they would still do that, the 6-8 week turnaround was the best time in ones life. I saved my a UPC codes to trade for the Commander, and I took pretty good care of him, until he met a vice he didn't like when I was in Jr High. I would agree too, that it was pretty creepy of me to keep his appendages all these years (Fun Fact: those are not his legs and arms - those are a troopers).

Now I can finally replace these awful stand-ins. Disney Destro with the oversized coller and white gloves is just plain silly. It's also a slap in the face when they don't shine his head. Cobra Commander in pieces will also not be missed. It's instant mockery when the Joe's see his dismembered condition going into battle.

So, hang tight, maybe soon my new video will be up...

GI Joe HAVOC Cartoon; Day 5

You know when my post count is low, I am working feverishly on some sort of top secret project that I have hinted about before. Well its nearing completion, and it might, MIGHT, be ready tomorrow night vs July 2014. It all depends on my satisfaction with the sound effects, but so far, even I am blown away, not to pat my own back. The detail has been insane, as I had to totally redraw the HAVOC. Originally I drew it from the point of view that it was an actual vehicle, and added space for more engine and machinery components. After much thought, I decided I wanted it to resemble the toy as close as I could get. I think it will play well, not that its the only star of the show. So yeah, lets hope I can get this done, check back soon for total war...

Transformers Bot Shots Battle Game Review: Series 1 Optimus Prime vs Starscream

I first wanted nothing to do with this toy line, as I still remember quite clearly my obsession with Hasbro's Attactix game line, and its killing. I was hopped up on Goof Balls or something, so I purchased Optimus Prime and Starscream. Maybe I wanted Prime for my shelf of Primes.

The game is rather simple, but the toys function sketchy like, so I imagine most games end in you hucking your toy into your opponent's forehead. Its a simple Rock-Paper-Scissors/Battle Beasts game format. I re-read the instructions after this video review, and found the spinning symbols are supposed to be set by you, before you throw down. Yet, my Prime was lose enough to spin out of place. Starscream's front will not snap down easily at all. The more I tested, the worse they worked too. I was more frusterated than anything. Given the simplicity of the game, I don't see a reason to buy more (unlike Attacktix brilliant scheme to make you buy thousands).

My final recomendation, is to pass, unless you want one for your desk for some quick help in deciding conflicts.

Happy Meal Transformers Prime Review 8 Toys 2012

I have been waiting for these for what feels like an eternity! Finally the Transformers Prime Happy Meal toys are out!!! Overall, I think they are totally awesome. Yes, they are pretty much stuck in vehicle form, but that's better than a bunch of mismatching toys, right? They look great together, and their colors really pop. A few have some really nice action features, others so-so. They are slightly larger than Hot Wheels for size which makes them a little more fun too. Please watch my humdinger of a review, to get all the spifftacular details.

Hot Wheels Ferrari 458 Italia, OR Transformers Wheeljack???

I'm thinking someone at Hot Wheels is a Transformers fan. Once before I found a car with a Bumblebee like appearance, and now I am seeing Wheeljack in this 2012 All Stars.

Now according to the all mighty wikipedia, Wheeljack was originally designed as a Lancia Stratos Turbo 5, a Italian made car. That's not too far off from this Ferrari. Of course Italy's colors are Green White and Red, so it might just be a coincidence.

Either way, I like it, and will add to my collection of two hot wheels cars that remind me of Transformers, and also reminds me that I have problems.
