Indiana Jones: Willie Scott
It's Willie Scott the funniest screamy girl in all of the Indiana Jones movies. The part where she goes to hang clothes on the tree limbs only to pull a bat's wings open is one of the greatest scenes in motion picture history.
That doesn't look good! Maybe she should get a cast on that arm!
Lets give her a diamond to take the pain away. For the most part the accompanying relics have been pretty good with matching to character.
Now lets scare her with bugs! I wonder if she would give up that diamond to be saved?

Indiana Jones: Short Round
I chose to open Short Round first as I needed a side kick for Indy and he looked pretty darn cool too. I always wished he could have done a quick cameo in Crystal Skull. I also wished there was a Shankara stone in the treasure room at the end of the movie. That would have been spiffy.
Naturally I had to put him on an elephant right away. The other option being a strong bridge, but I really didn't want to build it. There was a better younger elephant at the store, but it was in a pack of other animals and I didn't want to over spend on the prop, but this one's size is close enough.

Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom Figures
When I heard stories that Hasbro cancelled the current Indiana Jones line I sort a freaked out. But with some quick thinking, and a few favors, I was able to snag a case of Temple of Doom figures! Of course, I have to report to work at a Chinese toy factory on Monday morning, I think it was well worth it. I never ordered a 'case' of action figures before, it was kind of scary if I would even get the ones I wanted. With the newest wave possibly canned, I could have ended up with a bunch of Ugha Warriors from Crystal Skull, but my luck was good and I got what the order was for.
I wanted Temple of Doom toys the most because they are the most fun characters from the movies. They should provide lots of silly antics for the museum. Especially Mola Ram, what is with that guy?!
The down side to the case is lots of extra figures that I already had or, had now have extra of had. Anyone need a Raiders Indy with Idol or Rocket Launcher Indy?
I like the beat up Indy figure, I need to build a bridge for him to cut down.
I like how the package points out "With Sword!"
I can't even imagine the pain Indy's finger is in being stuck in that package for so long!
I will have to show more of these, stay around.

The Fantastic Watch Collection; Episode 9: Thomas the Tank Engine
You get lots of respect walking into 1st grade wearing this watch! The Thomas the Tank Engine watch is fairly basic when it comes to bells and whistles, but it does have one unique feature, it plays happy birthday on your birthday. Just set the magic date, and wait, and wait, and wait, and on your birthday it plays for you.
On an unrelated topic, years after I left this watch in a shoe box on a shelf in my closet, I awoke to strange terrifying music. I lay in bed terrified of why some strange and haunting music was playing from somewhere in my room. I yelled out "WHHHHHYYYY MEEEEEE!" and "OOOOH GOOOOD! SAVE ME FROM THE WHE MUSIC!" Then after the music stopped and my sheets soaked from what I hope was sweat, I came to my senses and remembered that years earlier I bought a watch that played music on my birthday.

Key to realistic toy displaying
The key to reenacting the battle between Young Indiana Jones and the attacking Lion in the boxcar is to use a background that reflects that scene. Since I do not have a scaled boxcar, I used Optimus Prime's trailer to much success. A gift given to me I suppose, I can recreate any movie scene with up to 90% accuracy!
You don't think so?
Well how about on top of Primes trailer?! Surely now, you agree of my talents?!

Russians!
Pictured from left to right, Red Star from the Oktober Guard, Russian Soldier, Colonel Dovchenko, Irina Spalko, and Han Solo.
Since I am married to a hot Russian, I am required to have a certain percentage of Russian toys. Actually I am encouraged to learn the language and culture, but I am VERY lazy. Did get through chapter one on Rosetta stone, but kind of cheated.
Okay Han Solo isn't Russian, well he could be, Im not sure... But when I was a kid I found him in my sandbox left over from previous home owner. I thought since the figure was in a very warm coat, surely he was Russian. Then I watched Empire Strikes back. Then I watched it again, and again. And then I played with my GI Joe's and the Russian figure. Then I watched Empire Strikes back again. And then I played with my GI Joes and the Russian figure. And then I watched Empire Strikes back again. And then I played with my GI Joes and Russian figre, and finally made the connection that it was indeed a Han Solo in Hoth costume figure and not a Russian. But to this day, he is still Russian.

The Fantastic Watch Collection; Episode 6-7: TMNTs
I am an honorary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. When I go to fight crime I wear a Donatello on my right and a Leonardo on my left. I wonder why I never upgraded to four watches with Raphael and Michelangelo. I could have worn those on my ankles and kicked total butt!
You can tell I attack more with my Leonardo Left because his paint is a little chipped.
One for New York time and one for Boise time.
They also detach from their wristbands for much needed play time.

The Fantastic Watch Collection; Episode 5: Stealth Fighter
Being part of a Stealth Fighter Pilot team is pretty tricky. You have to hide a lot. This watch helps with that ability.
One of my favorite watches back in the day of service. It has realistic lights and sounds of take-off and weapon firing. It also has sharp tail fin corners to slit the throats of your most hated enemy when you crash behind enemy lines.
And of course the 'ejectable' time piece will always wow the crowd.
sad that the watch has took so much wear and tear over years, I think the band has that darn plastic melting syndrome. But It will fly again!

The Fantastic Watch Collection; Episode 4: Kermit the Frog
When your called to entertain as much as I am in front of the back yard squirrels, I find the Kermit the Frog watch the perfect distraction.
Not too gimmicky, the watch is basically a plastic Kermit on a flip top that tells the time under it. But he has lots of personallity that the squirrels enjoy and with the right frog voice you can pull it off.
Hit his feet just right on the table and you can make him dance!

My Spider Friend is back?! In February?!!
I was amazed to see my spider friend outside by the window this morning. I thought surely she perished during November, December and January. It was slightly warmer and sunny yesterday afternoon, so she must have decided to rebuild the web. Didn't look finished, and she looked about frozen on a few strands of web. I think she must have survived inside the window near the recessed rail. That window is bad, water once came inside from washing them with a power hose. So I guess heat leaked out and warmed the spider. Now will she last until spring when bugs return for lunch? Or will the egg sack she unknowingly unknown to Dan placed inside the widow frame will mature and in a few more weeks, thousands will be in the apartment making webs all over the toys!
Its getting time for a new camera, I took dozens of shots but only a tiny few came out half focused!
